I designed this logo for the underground Techno/UK Hard House DJ event Maximum Joy, of which I was co-organizer.These events, originated by Mark Hibbs, are fondly remembered as one of the all-time great club nights in Tokyo by it's many devoted regulars. As the music was a rousing pumping rhythm I wanted to emphasise the cutting-edge atmosphere in the logo design, as well as creating an image that was instantly memorable. This logo design was a great success. It was used on flyers, posters, letterheads, t-shirts and banners. During the events an enormous circular banner of the logo was displayed on the back walls of the club, an inspiring reflection of the music and atmosphere.
