D: John Woodward
This was the first of several club flyer collaborations with designer John Woodward I worked on as co-organizer of the monthly 'Maximum Joy' DJ parties at Club MO in Shibuya. In it's early days Maximum Joy covered a wide genre of underground music, but by the time of this flyer had settled into a techno/hard house format. This night was an exception however, as the special guest was house DJ Alex, which combined with the sweltering heat of the summer made this image and the tongue-in-cheek catch copy particularly poignant.
